The buildings will be about 60% of the cost of traditional buildings. A 2 bed 4 person house could be about £65,000. An extension as little as £15,000.
An opportunity with modular construction is to exceed minimum insulation requirements and significantly reduce heat loss from the building. The correct placement of large double glazed windows will allow solar heat gain as well as plenty of natural light.
Modular construction
Within 8 to 10 weeks from order, the building would be delivered onto pads (no foundations needed) and completed on site, including external cladding, within 1 to 2 weeks. Construction of the building in controlled conditions means consistent quality of work can be achieved. Modular construction allows for the building to be extended or reduced in size as needed. Meet current building regulations
Buildings will meet current building regulations. Local Authority Building Control Partnership scheme removes the need to justify construction details with each Building Regulation Application. Planning permission will be needed.
